By using FixDecoded you agree to these terms. They are short, and most of them are common sense: the site is free information, use it responsibly, and don’t copy it.
1. What the site is
FixDecoded publishes troubleshooting and maintenance information for equipment, devices and appliances. It is provided for general information only. It is not professional, engineering, electrical, safety or legal advice, and it does not replace your manufacturer’s documentation or a qualified technician. Please read the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
2. Using the information responsibly
You are responsible for deciding whether any procedure is suitable and safe for you, your skills and your equipment, and for following the manufacturer’s instructions and local regulations. If a guide and your manual disagree, follow the manual. If a step is beyond your experience, stop.
3. Content and copyright
The text, structure, illustrations and code of this site are owned by FixDecoded or its licensors and protected by copyright. You may read, print and share links to guides for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, scrape, redistribute, sell, or use the content to train or build competing products or datasets without written permission. Product names, brands and model numbers belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the operation or security of the site, attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious code, or use automated tools to place unreasonable load on it. Reasonable access by search engines is welcome.
5. Reader submissions
If you send us corrections, reports or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the site without obligation to you. Please do not send anything confidential or anything you do not have the right to share.
6. Third-party sites and products
Links to other websites and references to products are provided for convenience and identification. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a reference is not an endorsement.
7. Advertising
The site does not currently display ads. Google AdSense may be used in future. Ads are labelled as ads and are selected by the advertising network, not by us; the appearance of an ad is not a recommendation. Advertisers have no influence over our guides (see the Editorial Policy). Your choices about advertising cookies are explained in the Cookie Policy.
8. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep guides accurate and current, but we do not warrant that the information is complete, correct for your specific equipment, or free of errors, or that the site will be uninterrupted.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FixDecoded and its authors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other loss or damage — including injury, damage to equipment or property, or loss of data or business — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or its information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes
We may update the site and these terms at any time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where FixDecoded is operated, and any dispute will be dealt with under those laws unless the law of your country gives you protections that cannot be overridden. Questions about these terms: contact@fixdecoded.com.
